Prior to each match, you can select your character and then personalize its look and various aspects of the game such as the playing field, weather conditions, AI challenge level, match length, etc. The remainder is straightforward! You have four buttons to maneuver your character and accumulate points against your rival. Two keys are designated for movement, one for leaping, and the last is for striking the ball with your foot or head.
